LAN Party

The first of the soon-to-be fortnightly TF2 LAN event was held at DNA Cyber Centre last Saturday.

*auR sent in 4 ready members in hopes to each steal a place in the top 10 to win a cash prize of $50 each. However, during our grand and late arrival we were met with the enormous group of -V- Co. With around 12 of their members, we were faced with a dark prospect if we were to play against them.

Before the party started, the smarter gamers who brought their mouse+mousepad hooked up their beloved weapons of mass fraggation to the let me emphasize, extremely-bad-PC-for-TF2. The dumbass(freeze) who did not bring his weapons were left to rot with the mouse the cyber centre provided.

Once the 2 servers were open, we sent in a pair to each server. With our noob default nicks of 7yearold, muha, Chronyon, Extremers and other nonsense I forgot, we immediately took control in the servers we were in. However after awhile, the 2 servers combined and it was a massive 12v12 with our 4 brave young men taking on most of the -V- Co on the other team.

We took a defensive side and struggled in most maps against -V- Co with their strong force in numbers and combos. We managed however to stay atop rank wise with *auR. xfr’s Soldier holding #1 for the first 3/4 of the rotation, *auR. Kw’s Soldier always stably holding his place in top 10, *auR. Nic hovering in the top #5 ranks with her medic and *auR. freeze trailing slightly behind at #12 due to him disconnecting and having his stats restarted.

Towards the last 2 maps, -V- Co constantly kept pressure and with us fighting back and solely aiming to clinch the most points we can squeeze out of the opposing team. The plan goes smoothly and the party ended.

*auR. Nic (nick: sis2) managed to do a rocket jump (though she was a medic :P) in position and attained the #1 spot with a score of 1956.

BearZ aka Lamer -V- Co proved engineers is always a wise choice for points with a score of 1937

*auR. xfr (nick: 7yearold) closely trailing behind Lamer by 1point, with a score of 1936

*auR. Kw (nick: sis1) keeps his cool at #4 with a score of 1794

*auR. freeze (nick: muha) manages to heal his scores and slots himself comfortably at 7th place with a score of 1638

After-Party

After the party, we mingled around and took some photos together with -V- Co. Some cock crunching and ass grabbing scandal occured during the photo session between freeze and the most suspicious suspect, Spud. Who knows, his spy’s skills may have came in handy in groping freeze’s private areas.
